Lesson Twenty Two
In this final message of his series on Psalm 119, Bro. Don reflects on the last stanza (verses 169–176), emphasizing the sufficiency and enduring power of God’s Word in the midst of life’s trials. He illustrates how the Psalmist, likely David, maintains confidence and perseverance not because circumstances are easy, but because of trust in God’s statutes, precepts, and promises. Bro. Don highlights four key lessons: believing prayer, true worship, humble devotion, and godly passion. The Psalmist models persistent prayer and pleading before God, seeking understanding and deliverance based on God’s Word rather than worldly gain. Worship is expressed personally and corporately, rooted in appreciation for God’s truth. Humble devotion and reliance on God’s hand are prioritized over material needs, and passion for God’s Word sustains faith even while waiting for deliverance. Ultimately, Bro. Don teaches that Christians do not need more insight into faith—they need to act in greater trust on the insights they already possess, holding firmly to God’s Word in all circumstances.
