What If I Fail?
This sermon, based on Luke 5:1–11, uses the story of Simon Peter and the miraculous catch of fish to teach that personal failure can become the doorway to spiritual breakthrough when Jesus is invited into every area of life. After a fruitless night of fishing on the Sea of Galilee, Peter obeyed Jesus’ instruction to launch into deep water and let down his nets, resulting in an overwhelming catch that revealed Christ’s power and led Peter to leave everything and follow Him. The message emphasizes three life-changing principles: appropriating God’s presence (letting Jesus “into your boat,” including your work and daily life), cooperating with God’s plan even when it defies logic or feelings, and anticipating the fulfillment of His promises. Bro. Don reminds listeners that God performs miracles in the presence of problems and that when our best is not enough, Christ’s sufficiency is—calling believers to trust Him with their “empty nets” and follow Him wholeheartedly.
