Following God's Will

The sermon, based on Hebrews 11:23–28, uses the life of Moses to illustrate how to find and follow God’s will, emphasizing that while discovering God’s will may be straightforward, following it requires sacrifice, surrender, and endurance. Tracing Moses’ 120-year life—from privilege in Pharaoh’s palace, to exile in the desert, to leading Israel out of Egypt—the message highlights four key principles: knowing your identity (belonging to God rather than the world), accepting responsibility through mature choices, setting eternal priorities over temporary pleasures, and facing difficulties with faith. Moses chose mistreatment with God’s people over the riches of Egypt, endured plagues, the Passover, the Red Sea, and wilderness wandering, and ultimately experienced God’s faithfulness despite hardships. The central lesson is that obedience may be costly, but the reward of trusting and following God far outweighs the fleeting benefits of worldly success, as demonstrated by Moses’ enduring faith.
