You Are Dismissed

In this message from the A Day in the Life of Christ series, Bro. Don takes us to the region of Gadara where Jesus encountered a man so overtaken by demons that no chains could hold him. He walks through three words that frame the passage: disorder, disturbance, and dismissal. The community was filled with disorder, a naked, violent, demon possessed man living among tombs with no hope of rescue. Jesus arrived and brought disturbance, casting out the legion of demons and leaving the man clothed and in his right mind at the feet of Jesus. But instead of rejoicing, the community dismissed Jesus because they were more concerned about their lost pigs than a transformed man. Bro. Don closes with the triumph of the story, that the delivered man went home and testified, and when Jesus returned to the area the crowds were waiting for him, reminding us that an authentic transformation is still the most powerful witness the world can see.
