Lesson 5

In this fifth and final message of the Facing Life's Giants series, Bro. Don brings the story of David and Goliath to its triumphant conclusion and draws out the last principles for facing the giants in our own lives. He highlights that David was not described by his physical characteristics but by his spiritual ones, courage, conviction, and confidence in God, and challenges us that spiritual battles are never won in the energy of the flesh. He walks through three closing principles: when God gives victory over your giant other enemies will flee, courage is contagious and one victory can change the atmosphere of an entire camp, and every victory has a reward that inspires those who are watching. Bro. Don closes with a powerful thought, that the moment David declared the battle belongs to the Lord, the giant was already dead, and challenges us that the same is true tonight, the moment we turn our giant over to God, the battle is already won.
