The Conversion of Saul

Aug 5, 2026    Don Chandler

In this final message of the Walking By Faith series, Bro. Don takes us to the Damascus road where Saul of Tarsus, the greatest persecutor of the early church, was radically transformed by an encounter with the risen Christ. He walks through Saul's background as a devoted Pharisee who saw the destruction of Christians as a religious duty, then traces the three movements of his conversion: illumination, when the blinding light of heaven stopped him in his tracks, confrontation, when Jesus revealed that every believer Saul had persecuted was really an attack on Christ himself, and conversion, when Saul fell to the ground, obeyed the voice of Jesus, and was never the same again. Bro. Don closes by challenging us that true salvation is not a quick prayer or a church membership but a radical inward change, a complete about face from who we were, and that anyone who truly comes to Christ will be transformed just as dramatically as Saul was, even if the circumstances look different.
