The Call of Abraham

In this opening message of the Walking By Faith series, Bro. Don takes us to the call of Abraham and draws out timeless lessons about what it truly means to follow God by faith. He then walks through three movements in Abraham's story. Second, the response to the call, where Abraham departed at 75 years old, demonstrating that it is never too late to serve the Lord and that total surrender requires letting go of everything we have built and gathered around ourselves. Third, the reassurance in the call, where God reminds Abraham that his obedience will bless not just one nation but all the nations of the earth. Bro. Don closes by calling us to build altars in our own lives, to mark the faithfulness of God, share it with our children and grandchildren, and press on with persistence, trusting that God knows exactly where he is leading us even when we do not.
