Habakkuk

May 20, 2026    Owen Lee

Owen Lee taught through the book of Habakkuk, tracing Israel’s history from Adam to the Babylonian invasion to explain the context behind Habakkuk’s questions about suffering, judgment, and God’s seeming silence. He showed how the prophet wrestled with why God would allow wickedness and use an even more wicked nation to judge Judah, yet instead of turning away from God, Habakkuk chose to wait, listen, and trust the Lord’s response. Through passages echoed later in Romans, Galatians, and Hebrews, Owen emphasized that “the just shall live by faith,” even when circumstances are painful or confusing. The message concluded by pointing to God’s sovereignty, mankind’s need for humility before a holy God, and the supernatural faith that allows believers to rejoice in the Lord even when everything earthly seems to fail.
