Lesson 8

Bro. Don taught on the two ordinances Christ gave the church: baptism and communion. He explained that baptism is an outward testimony of an inward salvation, symbolizing Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, and emphasized that baptism follows salvation as an act of obedience and public identification with Jesus. He also taught on the Lord’s Supper as a sacred remembrance of Christ’s broken body and shed blood, urging believers to approach communion with seriousness, self examination, confession, and gratitude. Throughout the message he reminded the church that both ordinances point to the finished work of Christ and call believers to faithful fellowship, obedience, and anticipation of Christ’s return.
